The PTA is run by parents and teaching staff on a voluntary basis.


Our objectives are to support the school where we can, primarily by raising funds, but also by providing practical support at school events.

Recently we have also looked at ways we can support parents and as a result have created a Facebook page to facilitate communication between parents and a ‘Y Bont Faen Rough Guide’ for new parents.

At the beginning of each school year, we invite each family to pay a donation to the PTA, these donations provide greatly appreciated financial support.  We also try and create a little fun for both parents and kids along the way. Over the last few years members have organised balls, discos, duck races, Bath shopping trips, cheese and wine events, Christmas cards and Christmas Fayres not to mention providing refreshments at Sports Day!  The PTA also run the PTA 100 Club.  There are 12 chances to win during the year – 11 monthly prizes of £35* plus our special Christmas bonus prize of £100!

Funds raised have amongst other things paid for Christmas pantomimes, school trip to Spot Climbing Centre, play equipment, Chromebooks, Forest School equipment, sun canopies, art supplies, Easter treats, storage facilities and a significant contribution to ‘Tanya’s’ race track.

We hope the children can continue to benefit from additional activities and equipment provided but we really need parent/ grandparent and carers input to do so.  If you would like to find out more or get involved please get in touch or pop along to our next meeting. Everyone is welcome to be part of the PTA whether you’re a parent, grandparent, volunteer or teacher. Your support is welcome and anything from baking a cake to helping to run an event is much appreciated.
