We are currently taking all necessary precautions to keep pupils, family members and staff safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Welsh Government operational guidance for schools and settings for Autumn Term (version 3) states that any learner who has possible symptoms of COVIC-19 must not attend the school setting but must remain home and self-isolate, arrange a COVID-19 test and notify the school of this. In addition, a learner must not attend school if any memeber of the household displays symptoms. The family should begin to self-isolate for the time frame set out in the guidance while making arrangements to be tested. To view the school’s risk assessment, click here.
Welcome to Y Bont Faen Primary School
Every child at Y Bont Faen is nurtured and encouraged in a safe happy environment with high quality learning to develop their skills. We work together to reach our potential and to become caring and confident life long learners.
Y Bont Faen Primary School is an English-medium school with approximately 250 pupils which caters for pupils from the ages of 3 to 11 years of age.
The School is set in the heart of Cowbridge, enabling easy access to the town for school activities in the community. It is surrounded by large playing fields which offer opportunities for a variety of different learning activities, including our conservation area which we use for Forest School activities. Within our grounds we also have gardens, a polytunnel, an all-weather sports pitch (which we share with the neighbouring Welsh-medium school) and a running track.
There is currently a consultation on the proposal to meet the increased demand for English medium primary education in Cowbridge. Please click on this link to read the consultation and submit your views.
